Forgetting is the disease of memory. That's why Paul Ricoeur notes that remembering is a form of work and is part of a duty to remember. Photography is in essence a memory aid. Whenever we look at images from the past we are possessed by a whirlwind of sensations.
This exhibition places photographs from the Campos Graça Photographic Collection (Imagoteca Municipal de Aveiro) about the salt harvest in relation to a visual essay by José Maçãs de Carvalho.
