Miguel Araújo teams up with musician and arranger João Martins, in a project that presents unique and surprising arrangements of songs composed by the singer-songwriter.

In this concert, Miguel Araújo leaves aside the guitar and his voice is accompanied by an unconventional formation that gives life to the new versions created by João Martins. The ensemble, led by the arranger, is made up of voices, woodwinds, brass, strings and a rhythmic section made up of piano, accordion, vibraphone, double bass and drums. The project, which was born as a result of João Martins' PhD at the University of Aveiro, already includes the publication of an album released in December 2023, recorded live at the Escola de Artes e Ofícios de Ovar.

This concert is an initiative of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the University of Aveiro and Aveiro Portuguese Capital of Culture 2024.
