Past and future of tiles in Portugal

Aveiro and Ovar are two cities with urban landscapes indelibly marked by the Azulejo. For this reason, they are two cities that look carefully at the future of this form of artistic expression and where it makes perfect sense to show an exhibition that looks to the future from the past and that contributes to making tiles happen. An exhibition spread across centers that include urban spaces themselves.

As part of the celebration of National Tile Day (May 6), Aveiro presents a special program dedicated to this art that is such a distinctive and Portuguese brand, with its epicenter in a joint exhibition held in partnership with the Municipality of Ovar and the Curadoria of the National Tile Museum.
